It was good exercise, saved a few kg's of carbon but best of all I met several people on the way I would otherwise not have spoken to. Have you noticed hardly anyone bothers to leave comments on our blog unless we have upset someone in America!!! Well I don't intend to upset anyone - peace and good will to all - that's me BUT I DO MEAN TO DISTURB YOU AND ASK YOU TO MAKE A NEW YEAR RESOLUTION THAT YOU WILL KEEP. Please bother to comment on our site, look at it each week and spare a few minutes to tell the world what you are doing to make a difference. It's easy to say we will reduce carbon emissions sometime - but sometime is too late, we must do it now. Well here's my resolution, use the car less and I will publically log my progress. Happy new year!! I live just over a mile from the shops and still use the car too much for short journies. I must use my bike more or allow more time so I can walk. 10,000 miles in an average car per year produces 3.5 tonnes of carbon so this is something I should be able to cut down a bit.
