Maps were Magic!

Saturday was perfect weather for Orienteering, and those who came for a day of fun with maps had a great time! (Click here for full details of our Orienteering for All day in Carding Mill Valley on Saturday June 13th). After a morning’s practice those who stayed on had a chance to compete and almost everyone got prizes (because it’s not the winning, it’s the taking part); but the winners were The Paygrove Panthers who completed their course in a remarkable 44 minutes. Below is Organiser Wally Blake presenting prizes and Carding Mill Valley Orienteering Maps to some of the participants.

Team members ranged in age from five to over fifty - it really is a sport for all ages! They all had a whale of a time..

We would like to thank the National Trust (especially Lesley) for their help.  Let’s hope we limit climate change enough to continue to enjoy this wonderful natural resource well into the future.
