What a fabulous day out in the Carding Mill Valley! We hope everyone had as much fun as our volunteers did on our First Annual Duck Race Day. The event was met with such enthusiasm from the public, SCC members and the National Trust that it has already become an annual event. So if you missed us this year, make a very early note in your 2009 diary for May 23.
The racing action was intense and exciting and the lack of water wasn’t a deterrent as our “professional duck nudgers” made sure all entries made it to the finish line (eventually!). Prizes were for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and last so it was really all about taking part.
